Rising Fighter Terms of Service (v1)

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any inconsistency between the English and Korean versions, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service (these "Terms") set out the conditions for using Rising Fighter (the "Service") and the rights and obligations of the operator of the Service ("we," "us," or "our") and its users ("you").

Article 2 (Effect of and Changes to These Terms)

(1) These Terms take effect when they are posted within the Service and on our web page.
(2) We may amend these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable laws. When we do, we will give notice 7 days before the amendment takes effect (30 days before, for amendments that are unfavorable to you). If you continue to use the Service after the notice, you will be deemed to have agreed to the amendment.

Article 3 (Accounts)

(1) You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
(2) Only you may use your account, and you are responsible for managing your login information. Transferring, selling, or lending your account is prohibited.
(3) Guest mode can be used without creating an account. Guest data is stored on your device and may not be recoverable if you change devices or the data is deleted.

Article 4 (Provision, Modification, and Suspension of the Service)

(1) The Service's game content (balance, rules, in-game currency, and features) may be changed for the purposes of operating and improving the Service.
(2) We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or technical reasons, and we will give notice 30 days in advance if we discontinue the Service.

Article 5 (Game Data and Paid Currency)

(1) In-game currency, items, and records can be used only within the Service and have no cash value. We do not support exchanging them for cash or trading them between users.
(2) Withdrawals (cancellations) of purchases and refunds of paid currency are governed by the policies of the app marketplace where the payment was made (Google Play or the App Store) and by applicable laws.
(3) AI-generated images, such as those from photo character creation, are provided to your account for use within the Service. Commercial use outside the Service is not permitted.

Article 6 (Your Obligations — Prohibited Conduct)

The following conduct is prohibited. If you engage in it, we may restrict your use of the Service (by warning, temporary suspension, or permanent suspension).

  1. Hacking, using unauthorized programs or macros, tampering with save data, or exploiting bugs
  2. Using another person's account or personal information without authorization
  3. Uploading a photo of another person without that person's consent (or, for a minor, the consent of the minor's legal representative), or uploading a photo of a celebrity — you bear any resulting legal liability, including for infringement of portrait rights (right of publicity)
  4. Interfering with the operation of the Service, or any other conduct that violates applicable laws

Article 7 (Content and Intellectual Property)

We own the intellectual property rights in the Service and its game content. For characters you create (including those generated from photos), you are granted a right to use them within the scope of your use of the Service.

Article 8 (Limitation of Liability)

(1) We are not liable for interruptions of the Service caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters or telecommunications failures.
(2) Unless applicable laws specifically provide otherwise, our liability for damages relating to services provided free of charge is limited.
(3) Due to the nature of the technology, AI-generated images may come out differently from the photo you uploaded. This does not constitute a defect.

Article 9 (Restrictions on Use and Appeals)

If your use of the Service has been restricted, you may appeal by email to our contact address. We will review your appeal and lift the restriction if we find the appeal justified.

Article 10 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea.
